1st romertopf roast

yesterday i tried out my romertopf clay pot cooker! and i must say i am impressed. i got a tip from my mom on a quick and easy pork roast. i think the most challenging part was translating from english to german, what type/cut of meat i would need for the roast. i think i got lucky hehe.

i used:
2 lbs of pork shoulder rolled/tied up
1 bulb of garlic
1/2 lb of potatoes
1/4 cup of water
and salt & pepper to to season the meat

1. first i soaked the lid of my cooker in water while i prepared everything
2. then i tucked garlic clove pieces evenly into the meat (in some spots i made a cut to insert some garlic)
3. then i covered the meat with some salt and pepper all around
4. i cut the potatoes and threw them in the pot
5. lastly i added the water to the pot

finally i put the clay pot in the oven and then set the temperature to 400 degrees (without preheating)
voila! 2 hours later the yummy roast was ready!

it was reallyyy tasty - i plan to do this again for sure! and add in some other flavor elements to really make even more savory :) will keep you posted!
